This year was the first year that we had a Combined Ministry Camp with GK, Teens and Youth ministry. The theme of this camp was “Generation Unleashed”. We had about 50 people in total who attended the camp, some of them who are attending a camp for the first time.

On the first day, we set off from Changi Village and headed to our campsite at Changi Aloha Chalet. We started off with some games and everyone began to enjoy themselves.

After the fun and laughter we had Praise and Worship with the GK kids and we felt God’s presence. Seeing the kids and how they worship God was really an amazing experience, God is indeed doing great things among the kids.

After the Praise and Worship we start our first Workshop: It’s in your hands by Derek. He share that he once want to reach out to an Ah Beng so he bought all those Ah Beng clothes and be like them and he found out that he didn’t need to become like them to reach out to them. We can be ourselves. It’s in our hands to reach out to our family and friends.

Night session was the highlight of the day. Ps Michel preached about how this generation was a fatherless generation and a lot young people do not have the love of their earthly father. He shared about his life when he was a teen, his father was an alcoholic and he will smash the plates that were for his mum and dad’s wedding gift in front of him. After sharing awhile, he picked up the guitar and played a song is about Daddy’s love. We began to worship and everyone was ministered to.

After a short time of ministry and prayer for the people to experience God’s love and for those who wanted to receive a healing touch, we ended 1st day with a night games by Daniel and Benn.

On the second day, we start our day by having prayer meeting @ 730AM. Eugene shared about how King Josiah began to seek God, purge the land and repair the temple. He also shared about how we should be always persistent and passionate in prayer like what Jesus told in the parable of the persistent widow.

2nd day Morning session with Ps. Michel was about the refining fire of God refining our lives. We were told to write down those things that were hindering us from giving 100% to God. He added that we needed to repent of those things and repentance did not mean just feeling sorry but that we had to be determined to cut off the sins just like a person who steps on dog poop is determined to clean the “stuff” off his/her feet. After writing down those things in a piece of paper we threw them into a bin at the altar in front and after that we burn it away as a form of saying “BYE BYE” to what is blocking from God. At the end of the session Ps. Michel call us to pray for one another.

After the session, we head to Pulau Ubin to have our “Desperate Hunt" by our games ICs. We were running here and there to see which team gets first. However, our poor red team was missing and they found 4 durians on the way and they even had their very own Durian Song. This was a great trip to Pulau Ubin!

At the 2nd night session Ps Michel preached about Jacob wrestling with God to get his blessing. We need to wrestle with God until we see the breakthrough in our life. He challenged us, “Are we willing to fight through the breakthrough come.”

After that we had a time of intense prayer and being desperate for an encounter with God, Ps. Michel told us to stay silent to listen to what God wants to tell us and Eugene told us to write it down in front of our bible so we know and remember what God has spoken to us. We learnt that evening that we need to have a firsthand experience with God, and not depend on other people praying for us. The meeting ended with Eugene encouraging us that if we are desperate, even thought the scheduled prayer meeting for tomorrow starts at 730am, if we are really hungry for God, we would be up before that seeking the face of God.

3rd day Morning Prayer
Some of youths and teens start off their own prayer meeting around 530am in the morning as they received such a fresh fire and passion for God. They were getting ready to get a deeper encounter with God.

Grace shared during Morning Prayer and she told us that to when we search for God with all of our hearts, we will find Him (Jeremiah 29:11-13).

During the Praise and Worship, God had already done something in some of the youths and teens. The worship was different from the first day almost all of us bowed down on our knees to worship God.

3rd Morning Sessions!!!

Ps. Michel preached about how we have to war in worship and war in prayer. He was telling us to be a warrior of God. He also taught us that we are the church, that church is not a building, but each and everyone of us is the church! During the ministry time, Eugene told us that we got to STRIKE THE GROUND!!! When the enemy comes and attack us, we need to STRIKE THE GROUND!!! We end the session with a declaration of victory!!! The enemy has been defeated!

After the morning session, some of the youths and teens people stood up and share what God has laid in their hearts on the 2nd night. And some of them were first timers in our camp Praise God!!!

After the sharing, we had separate meetings for teens and youths.

For Youth, Eugene share about being a generation of influence. He share about the power concept we had for the past few weeks which was on Time and Money management. We need to put God first in every area in our lives. We got to have the sense of urgency!!!

The last night session!!!

Derek opened the session with a short exhortation on Elisha receiving a double portion, and this was right on the mark spiritually, as Ps Michel preached from the same passage, and challenged the campers to reach out and to receive an impartation from the Holy Spirit for an anointing that will impact and make a difference in their generation. God is getting ready to UNLEASH a NEW GENERATION. We had Praise and worship and God moved among the young people in that place. Amen!!! Everyone was so excited for the word that was being preached and Ps. Michel shared about double portion of anointing in our lives! He encouraged us to not be satisfied with what we have now. We need to be desperate! Get the right counsel!!

And at the end, Ps. Michel gave an alter call to those wants double portion of anointing in their lives and most of the young people answered the alter call and Ps. Michel prayed for them. God began to pour out His anointing and the fire of God fell in that place!

When everyone was prayed for, some of them gather into groups and began to share what God showed them or spoke to them about and some even prayed for each other as they were so overwhelmed by what God had placed in their hearts Thank God for that! AMEN!

After the prayer, the feast began… BBQ~!!!! Thanks Kell and Athejo for the preparation of the food. Everyone really enjoyed it and it was indeed an awesome changing life camp.

Young people I encourage all of you! Keeps the fire burning bright for God! Guard your heart! Remember what God spoke to you during this camp and share it with your friends. Don’t give up press on!!! Be a light that shines in your family and friends.

We need to put God first and make Him the priority in terms of time and finances; reorder our Chronos, so that God can invade in the Kairos.
