History Maker Myanmar 2007!

Today in HM YOUTH NEWS……Approximately 700-800 youths were present at our History Maker Conference Yangon 2007! When I got back from Myanmar, I heard an amazing testimony about the impact that History Maker is making in Myanmar! One of Derek’s friend was actually in Yangon teaching English and doing some missionary work with OM, and she was invited by the locals over there to the upcoming History Maker Conference. According to Derek’s friend, every year History Maker Conference is the talk of the town and that every local believer there knows about this conference and is very excited to be part of it!
This trip was my 5th time going back to this nation (yes….. I’ve been there every single time.) This was a very significant trip personally for me as I remembered that I shared during one of the prayer meetings that the worship team had; that whatever our level of expectation is, that is exactly what will happen in the trip for us. If we just expect people to jump around and have a fun youth meeting, than that’s exactly what will happen. But if we prepare ourselves and expect God to do miracles, signs and wonders, healings, even during the praise and worship sessions, then God will do according to the level of expectation and faith in our heart!

And that was exactly what God allowed me to witness in this trip! There was this man who was in hospital for 10 days before the conference because of a diabetic condition. For 10 days the hospital there tried to stabilize his condition but medication could not help. On the second day of the conference, the man felt God touched him and a ball of light just smashed into him. He is the type of person that never cries in public, but when God touched him, he broke down and wept. The next morning when he went for a medical checkup, he was totally healed! Praise God! With Him, all things are POSSIBLE!

And now, we shall hear from 2 of our youths who have jumped into battlezone and have gone on their first History Maker missions trip!

"During the mission trip in Myanmar l rekindled my first love with Jesus. I acknowledge what God has done through my life, the prayer of praise, thanksgiving & worshipping in His presence. This trip has had a tremendous impact and breakthrough in increasing my spiritual life. The people there were so desperate in the spirit & so drunk in worshipping Him. I mean nothing can describe or express it, unless you have been to the conference. People over there really need Jesus! Amen!
I can feel spirit of intercession rise from within us, it’s like we can feel the true love & heartbeat of God. So let us encourage each other to encounter the Him in a deep and intimate way!
Be passionate & sensitive in Him!

Myanmar was real good! You know, I've learn a lot from this trip, the condition of the church and the hunger of the people there have really left a mark in me. The hunger thatthey have really blows my mind. It’s a challenge to me to have that kind of hunger for God. It’s the kind of hunger that Singaporeans won't really get to see. Those who went for the trip will know. And we go there getting real blessed by the people. It’s just amazing to see how God works in their hearts, leaving the conference totally fired up and believing in God that Myanmar will become a Christian nation. And right now I wish I could just go to as many trips as possible. It’s an experience that all history makers must have. Get involved in the move of God in Asia! I just wanna encourage you History Makers youth to sign up for at least 1 trip this year, perhaps Penang! You will feel more like a History Maker after going for mission trips. Don't just sing the history maker song! Be a history maker!!!hahaha…. Get involved with what God has for Asia and stay on fire for JESUS!!! Benn

"Blessed are those that HUNGER and THIRST for righteousness, for they shall be filled!"

God is no respector of persons nor titles. If He can find a person who is desperate and hungry for revival, then a whole generation can be turned around. Revival can happen! Just as the fire of God fell in Myanmar, it can also fall here in Singapore! History Makers let's posture ourselves for this coming move and impact the lives of our friends with the power of the Gospel!
